HP has had a bumpy road in the tablet market. After terrible sales figures, the company announced that they were getting out of the tablet market and practically dumped all its tablet inventory at unbelievable sales prices. What does this mean for someone looking for cheap tablets? awesome deals on decent tablets.
For the HP fan or at least, the Windows OS tablet fan, you have a reason to get excited again. HP is turning back the clock on its tablet decision and coming out with a new tablet called the Slate8 that runs the upcoming Windows 8 operating system, and reports suggest a 10.1" screen, less than 0.4" thick and have a battery life between 8 and 10 hours.
The cheap tablets on the market now that HP dumped for $99 have a 9.7" screen, webOS, 1.2GHZ Snapdragon dual core, integrated web cam, Wifi, USB, and a suite of normal stuff. One of the better choices of cheap tablets, but for the serious tablet user, nothing to write home about.
